This fine clasp is based on XIV-XV century original armor rivet design. Great piece for reenactors, can be used as belt accent and functional armor rivet.

What is the diameter of this rivet shaft? I'm looking for 1/8" shaft decorative rivets for a helmet I'm building. Thank you!

Diameter of the shaft is 4 mm or 1/6".

how would you suggest I set these rivets on armor without damaging the face of the rivet?

You should make a special deepening of the similar shape in the anvil when working with these rivets and armor.
