Woolen coat (zupan) with hat and muff
Cold-weather short coat bordered with fake fur refers to the generic Slavic national costume theme. The stand-up collar, body conscience silhouette, bell sleeve, wide jacquard trim finishing - the configuration is typical for the classic overcoat of Snegurka (or The Snow Maiden) from fairy tales.
Intense colours and poppy pattern on the trim make this coat more bright and more contrasting. The coat has five leather straps with moulded brass onion-shaped clasps.
The costume is complemented with the woolen hattock finished with fur and with the muff made of the same fur along with a wide long skirt with the same trim (the skirt is not included but can be bought separately).

this is delightful. it fits so beautifully and with hat and muff I look absolutely elegant. now if I could just trade our 90 degree F temps of july for something cooler I would be even more excited. Well, the fur is quite soft though it can`t be compared to the natural
one, of course. Unfortunately, the coat cannot be made with natural
fur due to technical reasons.

This coat is SO beautiful! Could it be lined in cotton or something else? I've got a sort-of allergy to artificial fabrics and I love this coat so much!
Instead of polyester, lining can be made of viscose for $30 extra (semi-synthetic fabric made of cellulose), simply add a comment to your order. Lining cannot be made of cotton or flax linen, sorry.

This costume has no exact historical analogies (actually we're far from historical reconstruction), it's inspired by a female Russian national costume, which was formed at the junction of 18-19 centuries.
Can you tell me roughly what time period it is based off? I am hoping to wear it to a Russian-themed medieval event.

The coat cannot be made with real fur.
This is demi-season coat, not winter coat; sure it's absolutely functional.
Our position is that the level of comfort at different temperatures is a very individual thing. Recommended temperature level for this coat is up to +5°C (41°F), but our Russian customers say that they wear the set (skirt and coat) when the temperature is up to -15°C (5°F).

The coat has polyester lining.
It's rather a demi-season coat for late fall or early spring. Can be worn in winter with a sweater underneath.
