You may not believe it from the pictures, but this gorgeous little axe is actually made from foam and meant for LARP! At ArmStreet, we feel that LARP weapons don’t need to look ordinary and boring, which is why we have decided to turn some of our popular metal decorative weapons into LARP safe alternatives. Made to match our best-selling Viking collection, you’re going to be ready to hit the battlefield once this axe is in your hands!

Live Action Role Play differs from other medieval combat hobbies in that instead of using real steel weapons, most LARPers use foam. This leads to fewer injuries, and also removes the need for excessive protective gear. That being said, lots of LARPs still use real metal armor, and many LARPers have incredibly detailed costumes that take inspiration from both history and fantasy!

This axe is a beaded axe, which was quite common for Vikings. It is attached to a “wooden” haft that is accented with a "leather" wrap – all made of foam. It is meant to be used in one hand, and is a great weight to swing at your enemies – because, let’s be honest, you’re not going to be chopping any wood with this axe! In case it is not clear, this weapon is not real and the "metal" axe head and "wooden" haft are made completely from foam, with a fibreglass core.

All of the designs on this axe are ArmStreet exclusive, and created by our team of artists to mimic - and add something new to - historical viking artwork. This particular design resembles wolves twisting their way around the head of the axe, with basic knotwork appearing to be “carved” into the “wooden” haft.
