Tent assembly sizes

Necessary materials:

  1. Two front floor planks — 2x4, 10’ long with 1–1/8” holes
  2. Four rafters beams — 2x4, 10’ long with 1–1/8” holes
  3. Three jointing beams — 2x4, 10’ long with 1–1/8 holes drilled at butts
  4. Six 1–1/8” dowels 12–14” long
  5. Two 4” spacers from 2x4 with 1–1/8” holes
  6. 1–1/8” drill bit for wood
  7. Good wooden glue

Assembly:

Tent assembly scheme

  1. Drill holes in 2x4 planks, rafters and spacers as shown on the drawing
  2. Drill holes in the butts of the joint breams — at least 4” deep
  3. Cut the dowels to the necessary length
  4. Assemble the joint beams and dowels with glue
  5. Assemble the frame as it shown on the left
  6. Tie the floor of the tent to the lower frame
  7. Put the roof/side of the tent over top jointing beam
  8. Tie the roof/side of the tent to the rafters and the lower frame
  9. Your tent is ready!

For longevity of the wooden parts we are strongly recommend to stain them
