Designed to be worn with the “Secret Garden” cloak, this pin still can stand on its own as a keepsake of visiting the place favored by nature. A brilliant decorative bit of brass that can be both used as lapel, coat or shawl pin, and worn as a brooch. It features a detachable ornate scrolled pin and two swinging chains below. Two unequal roundels are embellished with etched flower detailing in Thistle style.
Cloak pin usually fits on the front portion of a cloak near the neck of the wearer. Its large needle pierces the flaps of the cloak through and fixes to hold them closed. There are usually no special buttonholes for pins in capes, so you can invent your own way on how to fasten and wear them.

Just received my cloak pin, and it is absolutely beautiful! It is sturdy and heavy, so even with a heavy cloak, it fixes the age-old choking problem. Since it is a larger pin, it does leave a somewhat large hole in fabric, but I do feel like it is necessary to achieve this level of stability. I look forward to buying more cloak pins in the future!

Hello! This pin is beautiful. I'd like to get it for a light velvet cloak I have, but I'm worried that it might tear the velvet. Are there fabrics you do not recommend using this pin on? Or are there any ways you can suggest to reinforce more delicate fabrics so that I can use this pin anyway? (I was thinking maybe putting an extra piece of more robust fabric in the back of velvet where the pin would go in would work...)
Of course, putting an extra piece of more robust fabric in the back of velvet will help. Any pin will damage any fabric. You can also sew on some ties instead of using the clasp.
Love the look of the pin, but wished there was a way to attach/pin cloak w/the pin w/out going through a hassle of poking holes in cloak or figuring a way to make something that won’t look odd
