Medieval Rus Bracers Bazubands
Early Slavic arm armour, 12-13th cc.
Bazubands are very popular among SCA and reenactment folks thanks to their perfect protective properties and great balance between protection, weight and maneuverability.
These are Rus style bazubands bracers based on early Slavic XII–XIII period design (comes from Central Ukraine Sakhnovka grave and treasury). General shape and armour style comes from historical sources and etched patterns are based on same period motifs we found on jewellery and other armour pieces decorations.
These bazubands are part of our medieval armour Rus kit so please check our other items from this collection.
Important note about measurements: please take into account that we need your measurements in gambeson, choses or other under-armour gear you are planning to use with this armor. The only exception is when you are ordering both armour and padding from our company — in this case you can send us your body measurements. For sabatons please send your footwear actual measurements.

My bazubands came in today! Thanks to the smiths at Armstreet and their team in Ukraine for the these beauties. The Kuban region etching is fantastic and will look great with my cherkeska.
Hi, I just got these bazubands. They are beyond beautiful and are so functional. They are amazing. I have one question however; would it be possible for a pair to be made to a size to be worn without the gambeson padding, so a size closer to the actual forearm measurement? - if I wanted to just wrap some cloth on my forearm for padding instead of using the gambeson. Thanks.
Thank you very much for your feedback, so nice to hear that! :) Regarding your question, sure, it is possible, just give us the measurements without the gambeson and mention in the comments that you`re planning to wear them with no gambeson.
I wanted all of the people at Armstreet to know that I that I believe your Medieval Rus Bazubands are simply great! And, whenever I have the extra funds I will certainly purchase them. Frankly, I really wish I could order them today.

Very professionally and well made, smooth transaction
Hi, I also wanted to ask; it says there is at least 25 days manufacturing time for the medical Rus bazubands but my order for them arrived within 2 weeks. As I am planning on purchasing another pair in a week or so I was wondering if they would arrive just as quickly? Obviously I would prefer it if they would Thanks!
The manufacturing time noted on the website is the maximum time of manufacturing. Processing time may vary depending on how busy the craftsman is at the moment.
Thank you for understanding!
I believe your Rus Bazubands are great. And, I intend to purchase a pair of them in the near future. I only wish I could order your outstanding reproductions today!
Is it possible to order the matching Rus elbow cops, mentioned in the comments, by themselves? Or do you only offer them in conjunction with purchase of the Rus Bazubands?
Rus elbow cops separately are $144.00. Please email us at contact@armstreet.com, and we'll send an invoice for the elbows to your PayPal email.
Can an elbow dish be added to this Bazuband to make it SCA legal?
For SCAdians we can offer matching elbow cops (shape as here, but with Rus style motifs, and without brass border) for $130 extra.
I dont understand Russian, but i understand what you mean in video! Want to see another!
