Small Kingmaker Spaulders

Simple 15th century inspired shoulder protection

If you’re looking for simple, stylish shoulder protection, you’ve come to the right place. The Small Kingmaker Spaulders are constructed from solid 1.5mm stainless steel, with tasteful brass accents which are sure to attract the envious gaze of friends and foes alike. During the design process we took inspiration from mid-15th-century shoulder armor, although we feel they would also be acceptable for earlier medieval period kits as well.

Created as an option for the Kingmaker Collection, these spaulders are made with no expense spared. Excellent materials, fine craftsmanship and careful finishing are all combined to create a high quality product that’s solid, attractive and sure to last you many battles. The bottle edge of the spaulders include fine touches – such as a roped edge and ornate brass border.

These will attach to your gambeson via a leather tab at the top, where you can easily pass lacing through. They will also stay in place on your arms with a robust leather strap complete with a hand cast brass buckle to make sure they don’t move too much as you swing your sword. Due to the stainless steel construction and solid brass rivets, these spaulders aren’t going to attract rust as much as mild steel, so don’t be scared to fight hard!
