“Ragnvaldur the Traveller” Fantasy Viking Axe Head

Every good traveller has their favourite weapon. For some it’s a hidden dagger, ready to be pulled on an enemy at a moment’s notice. For others, it’s a handsome sword in an ornate scabbard, proudly on display hanging from their side. For this one, it is a rather large axe that sends a clear message: go away and don’t mess with me!

This fantastic decorative axe was designed with Viking aesthetics in mind, though we have taken some creative liberty. While it is not meant to be actually used, we have created it look just as much like a weapon as it does a tool. We imagine it to be carried by the type of character who might need to defend themselves from a wolf in the forest, but also chop up kindling to start their fire. This axe is incredibly light because it is not solid steel and is instead hollow, meaning you wield it with ease and look even stronger than you actually are!

Made from rust resistant stainless steel, this axe head will take very little maintenance to remain shiny and beautiful. We simply recommend wiping it down with a dry cloth after exposure to moisture, and you will find it takes considerably less work to keep clean than mild steel. We have etched it with a viking knotwork design, created by our designers after careful research into traditional knotwork patterns. We love this axe because it’s simple and intimidating with a clean design and beautiful shape. We hope that you love it, too!
