ArmStreet’s first collection of garments for children is here! After many years of planning, we’re excited to finally share with you a line of items that allow your little ones to join you on your adventure in style! With a focus on natural fabrics, durable construction and comfortable fit, all of the garments in this collection have been designed and patterned specifically to fit children.

Inspired by the medieval period, this hood is a great addition to any costume because it adds a layer and is applicable to a number of different time periods and cultures. Hoods have the added bonus of being incredibly functional: they can protect you from the rain and sun, or be worn down on a more pleasant day. The bottom of the hood drapes slightly over the shoulders, with a number of gores to make sure it gets the right shape and doesn’t bunch up anywhere. We have constructed this little hood from the same 100% cotton that we use for adult clothing, which is very high quality and strong.

To ensure that your little one stays safe and happy, we’ve altered a few aspects of this design to make it more suitable. Instead of a drawstring or cords to hold it shut, we have sewn in an enclosed elastic at the back. This means that the neck of the hood will stretch, making it easy to put on and take off without the danger of lacing getting tangled or caught on a tree branch. For the same reason, we decided not to give this hood a liripipe or dangling tail at the back, and have opted for a cute little pointed at the end instead.

All of the seams on this hood are well finished, which adds to the general durability of the item, meaning it will serve your tiny adventurer well and probably be passed on to another at the end of their journey. We have two sizes available, depending on head circumference.
