This armour is made to complete our “Shieldmaiden” collection with lightweight functional and elegant women's armor. Our goal was to unite our skills of making leather corsets and other period attire which emphasizes figure and our armor craftsmanship skills of making functional and originally-looking ancient style protective gear.
Main part of the armor is a corset which can be made in fixed sizes only as it is pretty complicated – development of patterns even for four basic sizes took a lot of time so we decided to go with regular sizes only for this kit. The corset is made of leather lames decorated with scales and wolves embossed patterns.
Tassets or war-skirt are a separate piece which technically can be worn separately and even used with different body armor. Pauldrons are attached to the corset with simple leather straps and are also decorated with the matching pattern.
This armor is a perfect functional gear for light combat formats and also great-looking part of your medieval wardrobe. Each part can be used separately so you can combine them with other pieces and wear what's most appropriate at the time.
Leather bracers are not included but available in store separately.
