Sale Medieval XIV Century Style Chemise | Natural fine flax linen
Discounted Exclusive underdress with adjustable neckline, ready to ship!
Our ancestors used chemises like this as the main element of their underwear. It is loose and fluent. The chemise is made of thin softened linen so you may wear any kind of dress over it - the thin fabric will not roughen overdress silhouette.
There is a drawstring in a collar so you may adjust decollete depth. Straight sleeves also give enough flexibility for your arms. There is a tiny eyelet in a shoulder seam which can be used to lace a biceps or upper part of a sleeve. On the front part of the chemise, there are pleats pinched on their top which emphasize trapezoidal silhouette of a chemise.

I'm really happy with this underdress. The fabric was cut on the grain, it's a good quality and not too heavy. Texture is nice and machine finishing is clean. I hemmed the front (I'm 5'2") and left the back long. I will probably not use the neckline adjustment because I like how it sits. The only downside is that the arm laces slide around a bit. Overall, I absolutely recommend.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review! While we strive for perfection, we constantly seek ways to improve. Your observation about the arm laces is valuable. A small hint! Medieval chemises were often fixed with knots and loops! We hope you continue to enjoy wearing your new chemise underdress for many medieval adventures to come.
