The Evening Star is rational and calculated, and though she isn’t particularly kind, she is calm. She prefers fighting in the cool breeze of dusk instead of the warm rays of sunrise, and once she has a plan she is quick to act and conquer.

When you’re out on the battlefield, the last thing you want to worry about is dragging around a super heavy set of armor. No matter how strong you are, a particularly heavy suit of armor is going to start to weigh on you after a while, and you’ll begin to understand the appeal of something a little bit more lightweight! Our “Evening Star” collection is made to be just as protective as a heavier set of armor, minus the backache.

You can instantly tell by looking at this armor that it belongs to someone important. Armor of this quality, with such a fitted look to it would not be owned by a simple peasant, and is much more likely to be the possession of a wealthy knight or noble. When creating the designs for this collection we were very inspired by XIV-XV century Western European armor.

This listing is for a full-leg harness, which covers you from thigh to ankle. The cuisses start at your upper thigh with a leather panel featuring lacing holes, which make them easy to attach to your gambeson or arming garment. The thigh portion is one solid piece, with an additional piece that wraps around the back to cover some of the back of your thigh. Two articulated plates below the thigh panel lead into the brassed knee cop, which has modestly sized fans that are the perfect shape to protect you from wrap shots. Two lames extend below the knee, followed by a separate greave piece, which is just one solid piece that protects you from just below the knee to your ankle.

Constructed from high-quality spring steel, this leg harness is probably the lightest one you will ever wear. Spring steel is so light because we can actually make the armor much thinner than we would be able to from mild or stainless steel, which shaves off a lot of weight. Spring steel is so strong because our blacksmiths put it through an annealing process which hardens it, leading to a very durable material that is difficult for us to work with but creates an amazing product for you!

This leg harness is constructed with high quality materials, from the spring steel to the leather. Strong black leather is used to trim some of the pieces as well as for straps to help you secure it to your legs for a good fit. Cast brass buckles are used with all of these straps, and solid rivets and washers are used for the construction throughout. A lot of attention to detail has been paid to this piece to ensure it meets quality standards and feels luxurious to wear.
