These high boots are one of the gorgeous items in our own medieval fantasy footwear collection. They were designed to satisfy claims of anyone who adore SCA and medieval style events, LARP and medieval martial arts fighters. High boots will be wonderful finishing touch for your costume of any fantasy character. They also will be an exceptional addition to your medieval style wedding or other celebration.
Boots are made of high-quality leather — material that is really soft and makes your shoes fit like gloves. And at the same time it is firm and durable, so these high boots will provide good protection for your legs in a forest, on a sand, ground or modern asphalt road.
These shoes have modern soles that ensure a secure grip and are perfect for different types of activity - from usual walking to dancing, or reenactment medieval fighting. They consist of several layers: leather insole, leather fiber board, porous breathable orthopedic base and ribbed rubber outsole. Twine lacing on the front side will help you securely adjust the boots on your legs. For these reasons, these high boots will be convenient footwear for sword-fighting practice.
The most remarkable distinctive feature of these high boots is the combination of medieval look and modern shoe last. It is similar to sports shoes and gives you amazingly looking footwear which you can wear for a long time without discomfort or fatigue.

Please be accurate taking your measurements — that influences very much our ability to make the item that will suit you perfectly.
Also, you should remember that natural leather is soft material and it will stretch so when you are getting your shoes it is normal that they fit very slim. They will get your feet shape after one or two days of usage.

Please note that instep measurement ("e" at Picture below) is really important for this model. Maximum size we can make is US 11 1/2 (European 45).

I have a few questions... are these forest boots sewn or glued to the sole? Are they able to be resoled, when the bottoms wear out? And, How long does a pair of these boots last with 'normal' wear and tear? Can they be refurbished once they are worn out?
Tops of the boots are glued to the leather sole, also there is modern rubber outsole. The outsoles can be replaced locally, there should be no problems with this. We do not provide services for the replacement of the outsoles as a consequence of normal wear and tear, sorry.
Service life depends on the frequency and conditions of use of the shoe. Based on our experience, the high leather boots can serve you for years, as they are very durable. Warranty period of six months guarantees free repairs (subject to payment of insurance during checkout).
