Our Renaissance Memories Collection is fresh, feminine, and full of gorgeous dresses and accessories. Inspired by the late medieval period and early renaissance, we have combined fantasy, history and modern construction methods to create beautiful pieces that you will fall in love with.
Shoes may be a small part of a costume, but they are incredibly important when it comes to looking truly medieval. Historical shoes had a completely different profile to modern shoes and were usually devoid of any heel and completely flat. Though this difference may seem small, it actually makes a huge difference! Getting a pair of medieval shoes is a great way to instantly upgrade your costume.
These beautiful shoes are made from ornately embossed leather, which is matte in finish and is covered in twisting foliage designs. These designs are made to work with the rest of the trim on our “Renaissance Memories” collection, so if you wear them together you’ll find yourself wearing a well-matched outfit.
The shape of this shoe is dainty and feminine, hugging your foot tightly from tapered toe to ankle. Open at the front and secured to your foot with lacing, it manages to almost achieve the look of a pair of strappy sandal, whilst still being as structured and comfortable as a pair of shoes. The shoe goes up to just about your ankle, giving them the back profile of short boots.
The leather this shoe is made from is high quality and weathers well with time. The sole of the shoe is made from thunit, with a thin rubber sole stuck to the bottom for a bit of extra grip and ease of movement.
Please note that after the photo shoot, we chose to alter the structure of the lacing points on these shoes slightly to make them more durable. This does not really effect the look of the shoes.

There's a lot of poetry in this little shoe, which outlines a slender foot and gives a glimpse of the ankle through the lacing. The leather is supple, the dye a warm brown, and the embossed pattern tells a story that goes back a long way. The day promises to be beautiful when you slip on these pretty little shoes.

I'll be ordering the Renaissance Memories embossed leather boots this week. I already own a plain leather pair, which have quickly become my favorite shoes for comfort with the added benefit of light ankle support from the raised back of the shoe. Very feminine and I believe will go well with the Water Flowers dresses I'm adding to my wardrobe. I've read your advice on always having at least two pairs of shoes or boots to trade-off in wearing. These have been a longtime wish. I look forward as always receiving the quality of Armstreet products.
These shoes are really perfect, with this type of lacing they fit well on the ankle!

Hi, can I order these to be custom fit? The size request is a bit confusing since it asks for measurements and the size, my feet don't really fit a standard size due to width :(
