“Sea Born” Waves Belt

This belt is from our "Sea Born" collection, a line of clothing for those who love to wander through the waves, watch the sunrise on the beach, and enjoy a sunset over the ocean.

This belt is very long and is intended to be wrapped around the torso twice: once under the bust, and then closer to the hips. To wrap it correctly we advise folding it in half and putting the center point just below your bust. Then, keeping the center in the same place, wrap the ends around to your back, crossing them over and bringing them back to the front to tie at your hips.

Even though this belt looks simple, it’s actually a tiny marvel of our expert sewing technology! The trim the makes up the artwork on the belt is actually lined with a contrasting satin, with tiny, delicate piping along the sides. This gives the belt more dimension and really makes the design on the trim pop. The bottom ends of the belt have a fringe made of mouline thread.

This belt is made to go with the trim of our “Sea-Born” tunic but would look wonderful with other designs as well. It’s generically medieval even that it would blend into a variety of time periods – fabric belts were a relatively common piece of fashion.

The wave-like design found on this belt is ArmStreet-exclusive, meaning it was designed by our artists especially for this collection of clothing. They were inspired by the movement of the sea, as well as patterns in Western European artwork and manuscripts.
