Woolen hat with a central slit
16th-17th century magierka style hat
Step back in time with our historic woolen hat, inspired by the traditional Polish costumes of the 16th and 17th centuries. Crafted with care and attention to detail, this hat captures the essence of an era and is inspired by the magierka type of hat. Drawing inspiration from Poland's history and traditions, our artisans have recreated the iconic headwear of the period. However, as its prototype used to differ from region to region, we felt free not to copy the historical sources precisely and, as always, created our own vision instead.
Made from high-quality wool, the hat is luxurious and comfortable, and the soft lining adds to its cozy feel. Concealed interfacing ensures that the hat maintains its shape. The signature front split of the hat can be highlighted with the feathers or brooch.
If you are still getting ready for the splendid hussar helmet with wings and feathers, the hat is your headpiece to go. You can wear it in several ways: on a side, closer to the back of the head, or right in the middle. With its timeless charm and historical significance, our woolen hat symbolizes elegance and sophistication, echoing the noble traditions of the past.
Please note: the listing is for the hat only and doesn't include the brass brooch.
