“Ingrid the Hearthkeeper” Necklace
Laser Cut Brass Pendant with Ducks
“Ingrid the Hearthkeeper” Necklace
Laser Cut Brass Necklace with Duck Knotwork
This necklace is a part of an exciting update to our “Ingrid the Hearthkeeper” collection! Consisting of dresses, aprons, kaftans, and more, this collection contains some of our bestselling Viking clothing. In this necklace, you will find familiar designs and figure that are also present in the rest of the collection so it will fit in quite well if you already own an apron or dress. Even if you don’t own the Ingrid collection, this necklace will look fantastic with any variety of Viking costume, and probably your everyday clothing as well, if you’re a little bit adventurous.
This necklace is made from 1.5mm brass, which has been laser cut into an ornate pattern. This layer is then applied to a 1mm layer of blackened brass, and connected with a number of very small rivets. This blackened background causes the shiny, thinly cut brass to really stand out, bringing an additional dimension to the piece. The two knotwork ornaments connect the top with a circle, which is where a piece of thonging is connected so that you can wear it as a necklace.
The knotwork design that you see on this necklace has been created by ArmStreet, specifically for this collection. This means that you won’t be able to find it anywhere else. Though we have taken lots of inspiration from history and the Viking period, the design itself is ours and has been carefully crafted.
