Viking Earrings “Ingrid"
Knotwork Duck Brass Earrings
Viking Earrings “Ingrid the Hearthkeeper”
Knotwork Duck Brass Shieldmaiden Earrings
These earrings match out beautiful “Ingrid the Hearthkeeper” collection, showing similar images that contrast and match the outfit. That being said, they would look good with any Viking costume, and we feel that they are beautiful enough to also be worn with modern fashion!
These earrings are made from 1.5mm brass, which has been laser cut into an ornate knotwork duck. The knotwork duck is then applied over the top of a blackened brass background, and connected with tiny rivets. This blackened background really helps the knotwork pattern to pop, and give the whole piece some dimension. The back of the earrings are polished to a shiny finish and are not blackened.
The knotwork we have used has been inspired by Viking motifs, which often features various types of birds. This is a design you won’t find anywhere else, as it has been imagined and realized by our talented team of designers, who have done research into Viking art and designs. The shape has a lovely organic quality to it, and although the earrings are quite geometric, the combination of the knotwork and circle work to make the shape quite natural.
