Extended HEMA fencing arm protection
HEMA Armguards “Futura Black Long”
Extended HEMA fencing arm protection
With our “Futura” protection line, we brought new technologies, materials, and designs into the world of HEMA. Our new armguards, “Futura Long Black,” are a logical next step in this process. We added one more element to our well-liked “Futura Black” armguard design, creating overlap between the fencer’s forearm and elbow protection.
Depending on your forearm length and personal preferences (i.e., how far from the wrist you like the edge of forearm protection), you can now choose between standard and long versions of the “Futura” armguard. We’ve added an extra piece of our trademark textured plastic to bridge the gap between the arm guard and the elbow.
The special anatomical shape and flexible construction let this arm guard move as one with your arm without sliding down. It wraps completely around your forearm without gaps, and hidden elastic bands allow the elements to expand and contract to match your forearm size and the thickness of your gambeson. Like all elements of our plastic protection, the “Futura” line armguards are designed to integrate easily with our HEMA gambesons and work with plastic elbows from any of our HEMA protection series.
They’re light, extremely protective, convenient to use, super-sturdy, and very stylish. What more could one wish for in sparring and tournament gear?
