WMA swordplay hardened pauldrons
Lightweight fencings shoulder protection
WMA tempered pauldrons “Hedge Knight”
Lightweight shoulder protection for swordplay
In the realm of various swordplay formats, be it tournament rebated steel fencing, HEMA harnischfechten, or SCA heavy, some common requirements remain: reliable, lightweight, and comfortable shoulder protection is among them. We noticed a significant demand for simple and functional gear for vital joints that will not restrict movements or be heavy. And we decided it was a sign, prompting us to embark on a quest to create the ideal equipment for diverse sword-fighting disciplines.
These pauldrons are the simplest option out of all our other shoulder guards. They are simple, have lacing holes all over the edges for bands lacing to the gambeson or HEMA jacket, and are made of hardened spring steel by default, making them quite light and comfortable. You’ll likely stop noticing them after a couple of test fights. Check out the blackened (or brass goldened) pauldrons version here.

Medieval Martial Arts are, by their very nature, dangerous and ArmStreet is not responsible for any injuries sustained by persons wearing their armour during the course of such activities. We cannot stress enough the importance of proper training, armour, weapons and knowledgeable supervision during these activities. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the wearer and their opponent for the safety of the participants.
