While large massive-combat formats like SCA-heavy usually use helmets with bar-grills or regular traditional medieval visors, when the thrusting game is on the table, you need something to protect you from those nasty stabs.

These helmets are primarily made of hardened steel, focusing on a relatively lightweight rather than heavy-blows protection. However, you can choose between gauges and materials if you have something else in mind.
Sword-fighting footwear, gauntlets, and gloves
We’ve developed several boots and shoes designs with swordplay in mind. While our “Forest” flat-sole boots are a universal solution for those who love to feel some contact with a surface, our “Dragon” boots is a highly technological solution that allows you to experience the comfort, grip and ankle support of the modern high-top sneakers along with more traditional (“Heritage” line) or more competition-oriented sporty sleek design (“Sport” line).
Our padded gloves are a common extra that works perfectly for low-intensity sparrings and can be used for everyday practice or for lighter weapons (small swords, rapier). Our steel gauntlets, although initially made with SCA in mind, in their spring steel version, are good for most weapons - from longswords to arming swords to polearms.
