The late Middle Ages and Early Renaissance sellswords were a phenomenon, tightly connected to the brutal history of European wars, the never-ending story of long-lasting invasions, rebellions, and smaller conflicts. While the most well-known ones are the largest events with huge armies involved, the reality of the time created the essential class of professional warriors, less romantic but no less qualified in comparison to the great noble warriors we mostly remember. 

These arms, as well as the whole kit, are a perfect example of what the professional man-at-arms or mercenary needs - simple but functional design, easy-to-maintain shapes, perfect flexibility, and the light weight united with the strength of the heat-treated spring steel. This armor is the one to use in real life, not a showpiece! Depending on your personal preferences, you can make your whole kit slightly more festive with contrast lacing and bright under-armour or brutally functional and straightforward.
