There are numerous ways to engage in swordplay, and many of our friends and acquaintances have chosen the path of steel blades. For quite a while the request for a helmet with a perforated visor design from our teammate was on hold in our to-do list. Finally, we are ready to check it off the list and introduce our exquisite stainless steel version of WMA-suitable head protection.

We provide two primary variations of this helmet. The first features a 2 mm (~14 ga) top designed for lighter weapons commonly used in heavy HEMA grades, such as Polish sabers, messers, and feders. The second variation boasts a 2.5 mm (~12 ga) top, ideal for those who partake in longsword play. Both versions have a sturdy 2 mm perforated visor, ensuring durability and safeguarding the most crucial area.

To create this masterpiece of craftsmanship, we utilized one of our most elegant and comfortable helmet sallet tops as the base. It features a side hinge and a visor lock. Additionally, the visor is removable, allowing you to detach it completely by removing the pins from the hinges. The helmet exhibits a beautiful, anatomically precise top shape that fits seamlessly with the perforated visor. It is crafted from stainless steel: a material that enhances its aesthetic appeal and reduces maintenance time even when used for outdoor swordplay during rainy conditions.
