There are many little aspects that make up a medieval costume, which combines together to make the overall look perfect. Footwear is an often-overlooked component of a costume, as many people do not actually realize the difference that a pair of medieval shoes make. Medieval shoes have a totally different profile to modern shoes - for one, they are often devoid of heels - and they have the ability to also completely change a silhouette. We consider shoes to be one of the most important accessories; taking a costume to the next level and making an outfit look more like authentic clothing.

One of the reasons that people tend to avoid medieval shoes is that flat shoes are often associated with discomfort. Here at ArmStreet, we have a full shoemakers studio, which combines medieval aesthetics with modern shoemaking techniques to create beautiful shoes that are also comfortable. These shoes are constructed from supple leather that will mold to your feet and wear in with time. It is rich in color with a fantastic texture, which along with the shape of the shoe gives it a very medieval look.

The back of the shoe goes up ankle, giving it the look of a boot. The front of it dips deeply, though, giving the front of your foot the look of a delicate sandal. Dainty lacing is used to create the perfect, feminine show that will look absolutely perfect with dresses.
