This maneuverable, lightweight harness is designed specifically with combat in mind. We wanted to create something that is protective, brutal, and also looks amazing so that it will leave all of your enemies in a state of awe when they look at you. Even though “Dark Wolf” is lighter than other sets of armor we’ve made in the past, it’s still just as protective due to the use of strong spring steel.

We feel that this armor has a European XV century vibe to it, especially because it is so fitted and articulated. We imagine that this is the kind of armor that a rich knight might commission from a talented blacksmith. After countless requests from excited customers for a male version of the “Dark Star” collection, this is the result.

These cuisses are protection for your thighs and knees and can be attached to your gambeson or arming belt via holes for lacing in the leather at the top. Your thighs are protected by a solid plate with a hinge on the outside, which is attached to a ¾ coverage backplate to protect the backs of your legs. The knee cop is quite solid with a nice ridge in the middle and generously sized fans, with pointed lames above and below the knee to make sure the legs are well articulated. There are straps and buckles at the thigh, back of the knee, and calf to help you secure the legs and get the best fit.

This set is superior to the previous leg armor we've made because of the material used: spring steel. Spring steel is harder for our blacksmiths to work with but the effort is absolutely worth it for you, because you end up with lightweight, easy to move in armor that fits perfectly and provides you with just as much protection as heavier mild steel armor. We’re able to make the armor thinner and lighter because spring steel is incredibly strong. The main parts of the cuisses are 1.2mm, with slightly thinner 1mm used for the lames.

These cuisses are blackened with silver accents, though we also have the option to speak to our customer support and decide on a new combination from your choice of mirror polish, golden accents, and blackened.
