Muslin Chemise “Trea the Healer”
Medieval Underwear Chemise
Muslin Undertunic "Trea the Healer"
Cotton muslin medieval underwear chemise for women
It's hard to write about this muslin undertunic because the key feature of this item is an incredible fabric that feels like slices of heaven. Stylistically it is pretty the same as the “Trea the Serene” undertunic, it is a classic XI-XII century undergarment that was a necessary part of any Early Medieval costume, the layer between your skin and a general costume.
Its pattern provides a great balance between a wide skirt and a regular fit body, which makes it super comfortable both as a stand-alone chemise and as an undergarment. But the true feature of this tunic is fabric. The fabric we found to make this very special garment is extra thin cotton muslin, a bleached but not dyed fabric. This results in a very authentically looking ivory color with some tint of vanilla and an incredible tactile pleasure you experience whenever you put it on. The secret of this fabric is also that technically it is double-layered that allows it to be extra-thin and breathable and soft as snow.
As you may imagine, a lot of people tried the prototypes on and the result is always like "wow, it feels incredible". Yes, it does! This chemise has a chance to be one of your favorites costumes, it will work well for many styles and characters and we are pretty sure you'll have a smile on your face every time you put it on.
Please note: the milk-white muslin you can see in the photos is not available at the moment, but you are welcome to choose one of the available colours.

Oh My Gosh! I just got these in the mail, one in grey one in white, and they immediately became my favorite chemises. SO soft and silky next to the skin. These are now my default chemises. Hope Armstreet decides to offer other styles in this fabric.
