Embroidered Hood “Fireside Family”
Medieval woolen hood with lining
Embroidered Hood “Fireside Family”
Medieval woolen hood with lining
A medieval hood is a classic and probably one of the most recognizable pieces of medieval headwear. These comfortable and extremely functional headpieces were worn by all classes, from peasants to nobility, protecting the wearer from the elements, cold, and wind, serving as an intermediate layer under armor and so on. This particular piece is not your average medieval peasant hood but a perfectly crafted piece of functional medieval clothing. The natural wool medieval hood speaks for itself, but we decided to go further and add a few extras. The pattern makes it comfortable in any position; triangular inserts create an anatomically reasonable shape for the pelerine; limited high-quality wool makes it warm and pleasant to touch; fine flax linen lining makes it comfy, and hand embroidery shows that you’re someone who can spend an extra coin to look well even on the road.
If we talk about costume, the hood is one of the things that will be noticed first. Even if you wear it with the simplest tunic, your outfit will still look rich with details and authentic.
Please note: when you select a non-standard combination of colors for wool and linen lining for your medieval headdress, the choice of embroidery thread color is at our designer's discretion.
