Renaissance Noble Dress
Florentine Renaissance dress with embroidery
The beginning of the Renaissance inaugurated a new prodigious and fabulous era. The mode in these times was considerably determined by the fine arts and culture being at the height.
Here is an early Renaissance clothing. Splendor and pompous trim and details are joined smoothly within a garb with the silhouette both elegant and naive.
Corresponding to the original design of the end of the XV century, such Renaissance clothes were known as "gamurra" and appertained to what is called the Florentine fashion.
Normally this dress had been worn over the corset and chemise, which you can buy separately in our online store.
Renaissance costumes were typically made of rich, luxurious fabrics such as silk, velvet, and brocade, and were often adorned with intricate embroidery and lace. The silhouette of the dress was characterized by a fitted bodice and a full, voluminous skirt, which was often enhanced with many layers of voluminous pleats.
Overall, this dress is a typical example of the Renaissance costume, it was a symbol of wealth and status and was often worn by noblewomen of the court. It was a garment that exuded elegance and status and is still celebrated today for its timeless beauty and exquisite craftsmanship.
The skirt consists of 8 or 10 gores according to your measurements. It takes 13-16 yards of fabric to produce this renaissance clothing with the skirt hem more than 11 yards. The pattern of the trim with pomegranates has been worked out exclusively for this line of dresses by our designer. There is an embroidery with artificial pearls and silvery braids at the sleeves and at the bodice, which are also lined with viscose. Three velvet laces attach sleeves to this renaissance clothing while buttons on the wrists fit sleeves. With the openings on the bodice, you can see the shirt. There is a lacing on the front of the dress.
Such Renaissance clothes require a rather precise fit, so please be careful while taking your measurements. The dress can be worn with or without a corset though the corset will definitely increase the authenticity and emphasis of the outline. However, you should be ready to pay for the beauty and historical authority with the necessity to keep a moral backbone continuously.

Is the cap she’s wearing available anywhere as well?
Hi Kayla, it is not available, unfortunately.
Good day. Would your business make it known when the Medieval Cloak: Handmade Woolen Cape with Kinsale Hood becomes available again? I have wanted to purchase this cloak for years, but have not been able to afford it until now. Thank you for your time.
The cloak is unavailable as the light blue wool is not supplied any more, unfortunately. We can make the cloak for you in any of these colors: Black, Ivory, Red wine, Dark blue, Green. The cost will be $269.00 + $40.00 shipping.
Hi! I was just wondering is the "Bottle Green Natural Velvet" listed on your etsy account is available. Thanks!
Sorry, this dress cannot be made of Bottle green velvet - we have no suitable trim and other decor. It was mistakenly added to the range of colors for this dress on Etsy.
Does the chemise and underwear come with the Renaissance dress? (I adore you collection btw)
Thank you! The chemise and underwear are not included, they can be purchased separately.
I desperately want the heretrix of the winter coat please can u tell me when it will be available again to buy or if I am able to have bespoke made to order version of this coat.
The Heritrix of the Winter coat is not available at the moment because of the lack of the soutache for the decorations. We expect new supply of soutache in September, then the coat will be available to order.
Thank you for your understanding.
Can the embroidery be done with black thread?
Embroidery can be made in silver color only, sorry.
Hi - I noticed on some of the custom orders there is a shipping time and a manufacturing time listed. Are those combined or in addition to? (i.e. 16 plus 28 days, or 28 days total?)
Processing time = manufacturing time + shipping time. That is, if manufacturing takes for example 28-36 days, and shipping takes 16-21 days, then total term is 46-57 days.
Hi, I was thinking about buying this dress, but I have larger high hips than most. Can you tell me the high and low hip measurements for this dress in a size 8?
This dress is not available in fixed size (such as size 8 or else), it can be made to order only. Custom size dress is made in accordance to your measurements.
Hello, Just quick question, don't you anymore make Wool grey fantasy coat “Heritrix of the Winter” in grey color? It was marked with red cross on the order page. That would be really a pity as light grey color looks best with polar fox fur. Black and white wool are not good options, white gets dirty too easy and black cannot be used when you have a white hairy dog in house ;) Best regards Militsa
We're really sorry, grey wool is not available for today.
hello. iam trying to work out out of 2 dresses to get from my list and confused which one to buy. very beautiful items. either this one or Renaissance Dress Florentine Natural Flocked Velvet "Beautiful Ginevra" lol i cant decide. what one would you recomeded the best one out of two? need your help please thankyou
The main difference is shape of neckline - it's V-shaped on Florentine dress and round on Ginevra dress. All other details are exactly the same.
