What started many years ago as a capsule collection of Viking-style clothes has now developed into an impressive variety of garbs, accessories, footwear, and even armor, all matching our vision of this period and the highest quality standards. We keep inventing new ways to deliver this outstanding functionality and style synergy within the aesthetics of early Northern peoples. This Viking dress is a warm, comfy, shortened version of a classical t-shape tunic. Like other best-sellers from the "Shieldmaiden" collection, it features exclusive Viking trim and fits modern stature. Made of high-quality natural wool, it is perfect for shieldmaidens whose battles occur in chilly climates and for tour guides taking visitors up the rocky fjords. Training your dragon, dealing with drakkar's sails, or fixing the roof of the longhouse - everything sounds easier when your legs aren't encumbered with extra meters of fabric. The wool itself is worth noting. However, no words can describe the feeling of its softness on your fingers or the beautiful melange of gray shades. It flows and drapes nicely while still protecting you from the elements. The handmade herringbone stitching in contrasting cotton mouline thread decorates most of the neatly finished seams on this Viking dress. It works incredibly well with flax linen accents and hemp cords along the unique trim developed in-house. Following the results of the profound historical research performed by our designers back in the days of creating the first Viking clothes by ArmStreet, those trims were born. According to the traditions of the Old Norse, the knotwork can be spotted at the neckline, cuffs, and bottom hem of the woolen tunic, aiming to protect all the openings from evil spirits.

The Viking-style tunics feature spacious biceps and narrow wrist sleeves for the ultimate freedom of movement. Though historically t-shaped Viking clothes were unisex, we allowed ourselves to add four inserts to emphasize the curves. This shortened dress is almost knee-long and can be worn with or without the belt. Please note: the matching fabric belt is not included but can be ordered at our shop.
