"Fireside Family" collection brings a new touch to our line of basic medieval clothing. We played with colors and accents, trying to outline the quality of the product leaving enough room for your own creativity and style. This overgarment is very balanced in terms of accent style and look, same as the rest of the clothing from this collection. This particular surcoat can be made with contrasting bordering which makes the whole look a little bit brighter, but we balanced the accents and the trim in a way that it's not too eye-catching.

The trim you can see on the items from the whole collection imitates traditional "border weaving" and will work for traditional medieval characters based on XI-XII century European Medieval style and for a wide variety of fantasy, LARP, cosplay characters which have early middle ages background. It is also very versatile when it comes to the character's status, covering the whole range from wealthy peasants and small-town inhabitants to nobler personas traveling incognito. And, obviously, it will be a perfect match to the rest of the clothing for both kids and adults from the "Fireside Family" collection, whether it is a real family or a medieval band united by a common cause.

We paid a lot of attention to details to make our garbs comfortable for kids, but still, you have to remember that traditional ancient clothing is something different and may feel odd in the beginning. We tested these garbs on our own kids and they were happy to wear them all day long after they got used to them. For this particular tunic, we've added lacing at the shoulder (one or both – depending on the size) to make it easier for a kid to put it on and off.
