This bag is a part of our “Shieldmaiden” collection though it is appropriate for both men's and women's costume. The overall shape, construction, and size are based on historical findings. The pattern is designed by ArmStreet and also is based on styles from different sources. Multifunctional bags like these were important part of ancient garments as most of them (actually, all of them) had no pockets or anything like pockets.
Important note: Brown, Natural and Cream leather shades may vary, as unfortunately we can't control color of leather which comes from our suppliers. At the moment the leather we use is the same color as on the photos on the website.
Would there be anyway to make adaptions to this so it had a long strap like a modern purse? I LOVE IT and want one!
Yes, can be made with the long shoulder strap for $30 extra. Please specify the length of the shoulder strap in a comment to your order. We'll send a PayPal invoice for the extra charge to your email (it can be paid with a credit card, PayPal account is not needed).
