A Noble Set of Armor for the Discerning Knight

At first glance it's obvious that this isn't the kit of a struggling knight - this is the armour of a discerning noble with an excellent sense of style. Inspired by the Burgundian style armor found mid XV century, at the end of the Hundred Years War era, "The Kingmaker" is both visually stunning and incredibly functional on the battlefield. No expense has been spared in the creation of this extraordinary suit of armor, which boasts stainless steel construction, brass accents and a general attention to detail that one would expect from the ruling class.

Full arm harness

The wearer of this armor is someone who others will naturally gravitate towards for leadership - bold veg tanned leather arms and legs will set you apart from the crowd, and roped borders give the set an aesthetic edge that demands respect. The full arm harness comes completely riveted together, and the leather of the bracer and rerebrace are adorned with unique laser-cut stainless steel splint plates (1.5mm) and brass rivets. The elbow of the harness has plates that overlap the leather, creating an articulated elbow that comes to a gentle point. It's complete with laser-cut brass edging and a lozenge shaped fan riveted on for better protection of your inner arm.

Leg harness

The leg harness mirrors the arms, with thick veg tanned leather covered in stainless steel splint and brass rivets on the outside. The cuisses come riveted to the articulated knee, which have rondels to provide protection for the vulnerable area behind. They're also equipped with excellent articulation, which includes plates that overlap both the cuisses and the greaves to ensure adequate coverage. As with the elbows, the knees of this set include roped edges and the stunning brass border that have become signature to The Kingmaker set. The greaves themselves are made of 1.5mm stainless steel and are covered in leather to match the rest of the set. They're in the much coveted "full wrap" style of greave, and are anatomically shaped and adorned with brass and stainless steel splints just like the rest of the armour.

Sabatons

Of course, we haven't forgotten about the nobleman's feet - The Kingmaker includes sabatons that protect your toes and ankle with 1.5mm stainless steel. Between those pieces you'll find a series of beautifully articulating 1mm stainless steel plates, and a hinge for the sake of comfort and easy arming. These will completely protect your feet, even when you're standing on your tip-toes!

Brigandine armour

For the main body we've used our best-selling leather brigandine, which is delightfully flexible as well as protective. It conforms to the wearer's body well, but absorbs the blow of a sword much more efficiently than chainmail, whilst staying much more flexible than a breastplate or faults. Our brigandine is made from genuine leather and 1mm overlapping stainless steel plates, and is held together by cast brass rivets and buckles.

Pauldrons

The pauldrons included in this set have a uniquely shaped besegew to provide the wearer with underarm protection, as well as articulated plates to ensure a decent range of motion on the battlefield. The Kingmaker also has the option for smaller pauldrons to be purchased separately - one in the same stainless steel and brass edging style, and another covered in leather to match the rest of the set.
