Just a few comments from people when they first saw this...
This is the first piece of our “The King's Guard” XIV century armour kit. Our hourglasses finger gauntlets are well-known among SCA and reenactment people, and this is probably the best version of them.
Materials are stainless steel (1.5 mm or 16 ga) for main plates and 1 mm (18 ga) on fingers with 1.5 mm (16 ga) brass knuckles and finger cops.
“Hourglasses” are probably the best choice for people who prefer to fight in finger-gauntlets. They provide great protection as well as good flexibility and “sense” of sword or shaft.
We have a lot of pictures of our etched armour after several years of active fighting usage — do not worry, this armour is not only beautiful but functional and with all those marks and scratches it looks even better.

I love my gauntlets! The only thing is I’m having a problem with my right hands pinky. It just refuses to stay up where I need it too, but I can get it to shift into place.
Very, very happy with my gauntlets. Fit was perfect, smooth articulations, and of course, gorgeous finishing!
Beautiful excellent craft some mistake on shiping but its so Beautiful exceed the inconvenience
Beautiful design, historically accurate, very good fit. I wish these were offered with a satin finish; I sanded mine down to remove the mirror polish.
Excellent glove fit on the custom sizing The padding underneath the knuckles and on the wrist make these comfortable to wear, no hard edges felt, but not so padded I'm not able to grip a sword with them. Adore the etching and the brass work.
Absolutely beautiful. I am so happy and can not wait for the rest of my stuff to arrive ! Great mobility and the protection is insane!
Review Update: I've had the gauntlets for about 3 years, been through 5 wars and lots of little fighting events. I have not suffered any hand injuries while using them, however the only finger on the right hand that has not come loose of the rivet holding it to the back plate is the ring finger. I haven't experienced the same issue with the left hand.
For those interested in these gauntlets, you will not be disappointed! They are solidly built with clean forming of the plates, secure riveting and cleanly done decoration. The sizing is accurate and the shipping time to the States was as advertised. Although I am used to wearing demi-gauntlets the articulation on these allows weapon handling without any issues. If you are looking for functional "bling" as I was these are it!
So I just got these today with the rondelles. They fit most excellent. Punched a 4x4 just for because, no issues. I can toss a sword between hands, change leading hands on a pole weapon easily, and don't feel too clumsy. It will take some getting used to, but I think that these are exactly what I was looking for in hand protection. Thank you.
Thank you for a great review! We are happy that you found what you were looking for!
oh wow! thank you very, very much! fantasic quality!!!
Thank you, Clyde! Always welcome back to ArmStreet!
These gauntlets are incredibly detailed and are quite elegant! When I received them, I was taken aback about how stunning they are. Very well made and constructed! These are the gauntlets you are looking for to make a statement with your armor! Be sure to purchase the Rondelle Plates to go with them. Fully padded in the wrists and complete coverage of the fingers by the Roundelle Plates make them SCA legal, at least where I fight. You will be very hard-pressed to find better finger gauntlets for such a great price! Very satisfied customer!
Thank you for the great review, Darrell!
Can these be made as a demi gauntlet?
Hello, yes it is possible.
What is the approximate weight of these? Trying to decide between these and a spring steel set of fingered gauntlets!
Hi Daelin, the weight of these gauntlets is about 2.5 kg.
Where is the sword pictured above?
You can find our swords here
Can these be ordered in stainless steel?
These gauntlets are made in stainless steel.
do You can be upgrade a thick of 1mm(18 Ga) on fingers become 1.5mm(16 Ga) ? Thanks :)
The gauntlets are made of stainless steel, they are 1.5 mm (16 ga) thick on main plates and 1 mm (18 ga) thick on fingers with 1.5 mm (16 ga), have brass knuckles and finger cops.
I have a pair of your regular finger gauntlets and now I'm going to buy this. Don't ask me why:-)
Are you going to offer the rest of the set shown in the pics? it would be very interesting to see it all offered as a armor suit set.
Yes, you're welcome - Medieval Western Knight's Armor Kit “The King's Guard”!
Will this be a Churburg inspired set? Just looking at the pictures, the shoulders, arms and gauntlets (plus a few small pieces like the belt and what he appears to be wearing from the waist down) seems VERYYYY similar. Also, churburg is the only style I haven't seen on your site yet and it's what I would LOVE to see.
It's not a replica of some specific armor. This set is inspired by Italian armor, so you are not far from truth!
