Plastic pauldrons for fencing

We are excited to present our first plastic protection for shoulders – an absolute must-have for WMA and HEMA swordsmen who fence with a heavy weapon, from a longsword and a saber to an arming sword. Members of the ArmStreet team explored swordplay in many forms and styles themselves. Our recent love for HEMA fencing has inspired us to create a line of new and innovative products.

The pauldrons are superior to similar products for two straightforward reasons: the quality of the plastic used and the extent of coverage provided. We've produced this line of basic protection of two-component modern plastic. It offers ideal shock-resistant properties and is extremely durable. Our fellow fencers and instructors have tested this gear extensively during a year of sparring and tournaments within the Eastern European HEMA community. But cracking their new fencing gear by ArmStreet appears to be a difficult challenge by now.

These perfectly shaped pauldrons are designed to be effortlessly placed on your gambeson or jacket, allowing you to focus on your practice or competition without worrying about your protection. They are lined with EVA – another modern material.

We send 2 yards (or more) of rubber lacing with every pair of plastic protection. There are several ways to attach this gear, but it mostly depends on what type of loops your gambeson and pants have. You can also use any other lacing of similar diameter, elastic or not. Elastic lacing is more efficient in giving you more flexibility but also allows your protection to move a bit, so it’s up to you. Most fencers have their own preferences in regard to how tight they want their plastic gear attached.
