We are proud to present a whole new generation of western martial arts oriented protection, starting from the basic, yet most universal model.
These knees have been tested in the rough environment of Eastern European tournaments and inside our own club with the most experienced instructors and fencers. We also took into account side bone coverage regulations that are typical for many formats within a US swordplay community and in some Eastern European countries, Poland in particular. From our own experience, protecting your side bone is easy, and being hit there is bad, so our knees have these side elements that don't restrict your movements at all but one day will do a very important job. ArmStreet wouldn't be ArmStreet if we didn't bring any innovations to our product, so we used a completely new two-component plastic that is more viscous and provides great shock-absorption properties, and never cracks.
Overall, this is a great product, and once on your fencing pants, most likely you won't take it off as these knee cops are light, comfy, and soft inside thanks to an extra EVA layer.
We send 2 yards (or more) of rubber lacing with every pair of plastic protection. There are several ways to attach this gear, but it mostly depends on what type of loops your gambeson and pants have. You can also use any other lacing of similar diameter, elastic or not. Elastic lacing is more efficient in giving you more flexibility but also allows your protection to move a bit, so it’s up to you. Most fencers have their own preferences in regard to how tight they want their plastic gear attached.

Excellent knee protection. You will need some sort of arming points on your pants to make use of these so don't buy if you're fencing in trackies and don't want to sew but any dedicated HEMA trousers should be fine. I was initially a little worried because my pants are Arcem pluderhosen (https://www.blackarmoury.com/en/pants/825-hema-pants-16th-century-800n-arcem.html) and I wasn't sure how compatible these would be. I'm pleased to announce that the knees work well -- not perfectly since the arming points on the pants are centered in theory rather than fact (they're made by SupFen...) so the knees sit a bit off-centre, but this doesn't matter much since the side wings are large enough to protect me fully anyway. If you also own a pair of these specific pluderhosen you may prefer to move the arming point strap to the actually centered position for. These are probably the best HEMA knee protectors -- they have large wings for side- and back-of-knee protection (an essential feature curiously omitted from many HEMA 'protectors'), they're thick and sturdy, if you set them up right they're comfy and stay in place (I had to experiment a little with the provided elastic cord to achieve this but this wasn't a big deal), and they look cool. Five stars.
Thank you for your feedback. We love these knees too, and I personally did a lot of competitions this year (mostly in saber) without any trouble. Our new cool HEMA pants are coming soon, and they will have properly located arming points.
Also, I'm happy to tell you that we never saw our plastic protector broken. We use a way more expensive two-component plastic than other manufacturers, but it's practically unbreakable.
Hi! Was directed to your site looking for knee cops compliant with SCA fighting regs. While the subsection is titled, "WMA plastic protection for SCA and HEMA", the details for "One Standard" knee protection only mentions WMA, HEMA (whose standards I am unfamiliar with) and fencing. I wanted to double check that these knee cops would meet armor standards for SCA as well.
Hello, plastic armor is not suitable for SCA at all.
Great product! I love the side knee protection (also looks fantastic!) and the holes make it easy to attach to SPES fencing trousers. Combines well with my hockey shin guards for excellent lower leg protection.
