Medieval Knight Helmet Bascinet
Italian klappvisor with 2 visors
Medieval Knight Helmet with SCA visor
Italian klappvisor bascinet with 2 visors
We evaluate the demand and sales of armor regularly, and our bascinets deservedly rank the first, second and all other places in the helmets rating list. That awesome feeling when we are keen on producing and improving them, and you love using them accordingly!
The number one reason are obviously wide time frame and geographical scope, which allow using bascinet helmet in combination with any European armor of the late 13th - early 15th century. Its ergonomic, streamlined shape with a small onion top provides a snug fit and possesses some spare space on the top of the head. So in case of fatal fencing mistake and strict stroke, the top portion amortizes the striking force, and your head remains unscathed. The neck is also fully protected by a riveted stainless aventail coming along the entire surface, attached with a wide leather band and 12 steel vervelles.
Two visors included - basic etched plate visor and one laser-cut visor at your choice! Elongated plate visor with double ocular allows great visibility. Features 24 breaths at the mouth portion and 22 smaller ventilation holes under the oculars for good breathability. There’s power in klappvisier turntable mount which allows using the visors interchangeably - current plate visor can be exchanged with any laser-cut visor to get even more viewability in a single minute.
We love SCA for its huge battles and nice people. So we consider it to be a part our mission to help SCA folks to get rid of traditional bar grills and replace them with significantly more elegant but same functional laser-cut bar grills. This is why we are working so hard designing these visors and making them durable, elegant, functional and protected from rust. Thick steel coupled with carved structure lead to super combo: strength and lightness. Choose one of the three beautiful visors to complete your order.

Wrap-around fixation strap locks it into place so it won't flip up on its own when riding or running about. Add up that leather buckled chin strap and authentic padding cap riveted from inside are included by default. When you combine that all with the etching inspired by the aesthetic of gothic design, flourished in Europe during the high and late medieval periods, each helmet’s side turns into a work of art. Perfect armor when victory is necessary by any means!

I absolutely love these helmets. They are so easy to fight in and they look beautiful. I think they really bring an armour set together with the right accessories.
I was wondering if I could purchase this helmet in two payments, and how to go about doing that? Thank you
Hi Trevor, yes it is possible. Please contact our support team for personal invoice.
I participate in HEMA fighting and need a bar grill with an opening no greater than 3/4" or 19 mm. Will any of this meet this requirement?
Hi David, we can make the eye opennings not greater that 19 mm, but this helmet is not suitable for HEMA, unfortunately.
