Female Full Armor “Evening Star”
Spring steel armour set for women
Female Knight Armor "Evening Star"
Spring steel armor set for women
The Evening Star loves to duel at dusk and plan her sieges during nightfall. Bold and brave, she is calm and collected and unlikely to make rash decisions or act out of anger. Don’t mistake her quiet demeanor for weakness, though - she’s more calculated than kind, and will be quick to destroy you if you ever break her trust.
Here at ArmStreet, we love the feeling of wearing armor but hate the achy muscles and sore back that you get after a day of wearing heavy protective gear. Our “Evening Star” collection is a bit of a solution to that because it offers beautifully designed armor for the female figure which is just as protective as heavier armor but at a fraction of the weight. That means you can spend less time recovering and more time being the best fighter on the field!
This style of armor absolutely demands respect from all that you fight, and would not be the kind of gear you would see on a simple peasant, man-at-arms, or someone of lower socioeconomic status. In Medieval times, having a set of armor this well-articulated and fitted would come at great expense, so it was more likely to be owned by a wealthy knight or a noble who has coin to throw around. We were heavily inspired by the late XIV-XV century with this collection, with many aspects of the armor taking design queues from Western European armor of this period.
Female armour kit includes:
The “Evening Star” full armor includes the cuirass (chest armor), full leg harness (including cuisses, attached knees, and separate greave), pauldrons (shoulder armor), and the full arm harness (including rerebrace, attached elbow, and bracer).
Cuirass
The chest armor includes both a front and a backplate to give you complete coverage of your torso. A larger solid plate covers most of your chest, with subsequent articulated plates down your waist to give you great mobility and not limit your movement. There are tassets that attach at the hips, which are easily added with the help of buckles. The tassets are useful because they help cover that small gap between the breastplate and your thigh armor.
Full Leg Harness
This full leg harness includes the cuisses (thigh), knee, and greaves (shin). The greaves are a separate piece that can be removed, while the thigh and knee are riveted together as one articulated piece of armor. The whole leg portion is nicely shaped in an anatomical way to make it comfortable, and fit the shape of your body. Though leg harnesses are often considered encumbering by their wearers, we have found that because of the nice shape as well as lightweight of this one, that it’s actually pretty easy to still run, jump and fight. The greaves are a single solid piece that covers you from below the knee down to your ankle, protecting your shin.
Pauldrons
The pauldrons can be easily laced onto the breastplate, a gorget, or your gambeson with the help of lacing holes in the top segment of leather. They are well articulated with lots of small lames both before and after the main solid portion, which will give your arm lots of movement. The main segment features a sword breaker, which gives them a slight fantasy appeal and makes them look fantastic. The plates after the sword breaker extend down to cover a decent portion of your upper arm which overlaps with the arm harness to give you the perfect amount of protection. The besegews for these pauldrons are shaped like flowers and feature a lion rivet in the middle to hold it to the leather at the back.
Arm Harness
Much like the leg harness, the arm harness is anatomically shaped and won’t encumber you nearly as much as you would think. It is lightweight, well-articulated around all of the joints, and anatomically shaped for comfort. The elbow in particular has a great shape to it with a large fan that wraps around to protect quite a bit of your inner arm. The vambraces wrap around your whole forearm, which connects to the articulated elbow, and the rerebrace at the top for full arm protection.
This whole collection is made from high-quality spring steel. This hardened steel is much stronger than mild or even stainless steel, meaning that we can actually make the armor much thinner without having to worry about it denting or bending. The end result is armor that is lighter without compromising on safety. The only downside to spring steel is that it is more difficult for blacksmiths to work with and requires additional equipment for annealing... but that’s our problem, not yours! You get all of the benefits without having to worry about the hard work - plus, our blacksmiths have been more than happy to hone their skills and perfect their craft with new materials.
The finish of this collection is chemical blackening, with some of the accents being brassed. The blackening gives it an amazing blue-black tone, which can also help prevent a little bit of rust. The brassed finished gives the steel a gold color, which contrasts beautifully with the black. By default, this collection has golden pauldrons, elbows, knees, accents on the cuirass, tassets, as well as accents on the optional demi gauntlets or gorget.
This is a premium product from start to finish. All components are closed with the help of high-quality leather straps and cast brass medieval buckles. All rivets are solid, peened over washers at the back to ensure they stand the test of time. Much of the armor is lined with lovely black leather that protects you from metal rubbing against your skin.

IMPORTANT: To fit correctly and prevent injury, a suit of armour must be accurately built to the measurements of the person wearing it. PLEASE take all measurements over either the gambeson or under-padding you are planning to wear with this armour. The sole exception is for persons buying armour and padding together, ArmStreet will then make the proper size adjustments for the armour based on the measurements provided for the padding.
Medieval Martial Arts are, by their very nature, dangerous and ArmStreet is not responsible for any injuries sustained by persons wearing their armour during the course of such activities. We cannot stress enough the importance of proper training, armour, weapons and knowledgeable supervision during these activities. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the wearer and their opponent for the safety of the participants.
