Bracers “Ragnvaldur the Traveller”
Viking leather bracers with metal splint
“Ragnvaldur the Traveller” Viking Splint Bracers
Strong leather bracers with weathered metal splints
The Traveller finds himself in many situations, and must know how to defend himself. From wolves to giant bullfrogs, there’s no telling what kind of monsters might emerge on his journeys. Usually, his enemies will find themselves defeated, and the traveller will be left with another story to tell. The traveller doesn’t want to be encumbered by heavy plate or chainmail. Instead, he prefers light, flexible amor that will keep him self but still allow him the freedom of movement to run and hide, and bide his time. After all - there won't be a story if he doesn't make it out alive!
These bracers meet all of that criteria: they're crafted from robust, quality leather that is still flexible enough to be comfortable. They have a strong look to them, punctuated by five chemically weathered steel or brass splints, which break up the look of the leather and give your bracers a truly unique look. The splints are secured with multiple rivets to ensure they stay in place. These are a well finished piece, edged with an extra strip of leather at the top and bottom and strong stitching to make sure they stand the test of time. These bracers wrap around your arms and are secured by two leather straps, finished with beautiful period appropriate buckles that allow you to adjust them to get the optimal fit at all times.
While originally inspired by Viking bracers, these are a versatile piece that will suit characters of both a historical and fantastical backstory. These bracers were conceived during a number of experiments with how we alter our steel to make it aesthetically different and suitable for live action role play costumes. While these are a solid pair of bracers, we wouldn’t advise using them for heavy combat involving steel weapons. We feel that the weathered character to them makes them stand out beautifully, and gives them a rugged look sure to turn heads. Optionally, we can substitute the mild steel weathered splints for polished stainless steel - however, we feel that this would change the look and style of this item completely.

These bracers are absolutely perfect for my own dark fantasy warrior outfit. I've been wearing them to every medieval event since I bought them (although there haven't been many this year). The finish on the metal looks great too. Thanks for that!
