Medieval Shoes “Townswoman”
Suede Women’s Shoes
Created to go with our “Townswoman” collection of feminine dresses and simple accessories, these shoes look great with any costume. We’d go as far as to say that they would also look wonderful with a modern outfit, because of their cute, basic shape. We recommend using them for Renaissance Faires, SCA events, and LARPs.
These shoes are pointed at the front and have a slightly raised back. They are secured with a strap across the middle of your foot, closed with a blackened brass buckle. They are nicely lined with a contrasting texture, and overall is a very well constructed shoe.
The only problem with traditional medieval shoes is that they’re often horribly uncomfortable and not great for your feet. We’ve solved this problem with the help of our master shoemaker, who has decades of experience making modern shoes. Even though these shoes are medieval in appearance, they have been crafted from a modern shoe last, with ergonomic shaping and materials to make sure they’re as comfortable as possible.
There are many layers to these shoes, including a leather insole, leather fiberboard, a porous breathable orthopedic base, and a ribbed rubber outsole which gives you more grip. All of these materials work together to give you decent support and cushioning.

Important note about measurements: Please be accurate when taking your measurements, as it drastically influences our ability to make an item that will suit you perfectly. Keep in mind that natural leather is soft material and it will stretch, so when you are getting your shoes it is normal that they fit very slim. They will adjust to your feet shape after one or two days of usage.

Got my shoes today. They're really nicely made, seem sturdy and good for a variety of larps. The sizing chart seems a bit wacky, it suggested that I should have gone two sizes larger than my regular size. I ended up getting one size larger and they're a little loose. I'd suggest you just ignore it and get your regular size.
Really great shoes! And very comfortable for medieval shoes. The leather inside stains a lot (my verses were completely blue), but that was fine.
