Cotton mid-season men’s tunic

No medieval wardrobe is complete without the tunic, and we’ve just updated ours! It is a staple of Middle Ages fashion, so one can never have too many of them.

With its simple T-shape and slightly flared bottom, this garment has the comfortably loose fit typical of a tunic and proper give to allow for lots of movement. It features a wide scoop neck for easy dressing, long narrowing sleeves and deep front slit at the bottom for walking and riding. Mid-thigh length, it can be shortened when tucked into pants. No fasteners, this tunic is as simple and effortless as a t-shirt.

Its base layer is an irresistibly soft fine linen - so nice to the touch and perfect to wear next to your skin. Linen breathes well so it can be worn comfortably even in hot weather, and softens up beautifully with wear. The outer shell is made out of sturdy cotton that works well as an under garment for gambesons, chainmail and plate armour. It can withstand all the rigours of everyday use, as well as much intense combat and adventuring you can put it through. Even if you’re a career knight who will wear it on a daily basis, both fabrics hold up to regular wear and washing well. Natural wear and tear will add to its character, as it will still look great with some weathering.
