Viking dress and apron costume
Making this costume we tried to accentuate the beauty of the female figure, as much as viking clothing allows it with its free and floating cut.
Tunic. Traditional T-shape linen tunic decorated with contrasting trim, exclusive braid and dyed hemp cord. Tunic is quite spacious at biceps and narrowed to wrist, sleeves make it possible to be engaged in any daily chores. Wide skirt reaches the ankle and does not "sweep" the floor, does not limit the step and emphasizes feminine silhouette.
So does the apron. An apron is a signature Viking's women garment. Viking's apron is a sleeveless overdress worn with a pair of oval brooches. We used general idea of Hedeby harbour finding reconstruction and Shelagh Lewins illustrations but slightly improved the pattern making it a bit more complicated in favor of better look and fit.
We paid special attention to decorations and trims. The neck and the sleeves of the tunic are trimmed with a contrasting linen fabric and narrow trim with traditional Scandinavian ornament. Bottoms of both tunic and apron are also decorated with trim, specially designed for this costume, contrasting fabrics and dyed jute cord.
All these details and accents will make your character expressive and unique and will make you feel a dozen centuries younger.

I loved my dress once it arrived. The length was perfect, but the apron still doesn't quite fit. I guess either my measurements that I sent in weren't exact enough for my bust and waist or... not sure what happened but it's almost 2" off. Overall it's a great quality and I have other clothes that I plan to purchase but I'll have to be as tight on my measurements as possible.
Such a great costume! I am 5 foot 2 and about 145 pounds in a size 6. I had to fold over the hem of the dress and lost the bottom trim. I did not have to hem the apron. If you are short, I would recommend getting one in a custom size. But overall great looking and very comfortable to wear. Wonderful quality.

So happy with this set. Got the custom since the colors I wanted weren't available in the ready made options at the time, and I am SO impressed with the fit. I've never worn a dress I didn't feel like I wanted to either have shapewear under or a corset over and this one made my feel so comfortable and looked great without any help. I would normally fall about into the size 12 for reference. The tunic on its own will make a great dress and of course the combo with the apron is so gorgeous. I can't wait to wear it out somewhere. This was my first armstreet purchase, and I've already purchased more since getting this. There will absolutely be more in the future as well.
I purchased this for a reenactment event and it was just perfect. The fabric is so soft and comfortable. I also love the colors of the linen. I have the natural dress and 3 aprons, blue, green and brown. It's also amazing how durable they are for working all day at a Renaissance festival.

I have the tunic dress in midnight blue and green and the apron dress in brown. I love it! The midnight blue dress and brown apron I bought custom; the green tunic dress I bought with their "off the shelf" option and did have to alter it to fit as a result, but the quality and craftsmanship on both are phenomenal. I do have the Embroidered Viking Coat as well and their Eidas Chemis. Although I largely bought them for beauty, I can't believe how functional they are! As a test, I went out in a snow storm and 5F temperature with only the viking garb on (chemis, tunic dress, apron dress, and wool coat). Amazing, I was perfectly comfortable for an hour, yet I can still be fully comfortable at room temperature with the same outfit (sans the wool coat). Also, I've owned these products for going on 2 years with routine weekend wear and there is virtually NO wear to them. No pulled seams, no pulled threads, no running dyes (though to be fair I follow careful wash and care protocol with anything linen or wool), no stretching or deforming. They are incredibly well made

I ordered this dress in a custom size and colour for the apron (burgundy) both pieces fit perfectly and the different colour choices looked amazing.
I took the custom option for the dress I was excited to receive it, but decide to take the normal shipping option. I notice that once the shipping was done, I had no option to track it. The only information I had was that it left the company. I wrote an email to armstreet and they said that they didn't know why it happened. But with all the Covid-19 going on, I knew it was a special situation. I finally got the dress and the colors are perfect! I'm so in love with the dress, I like the quality and all the measurements are fit to mine. The only thing that I notice is that circumference of the arm are a bit tight. When I hold my tankard, it gets really tight over the elbow and down to the hand. But I can manage that because the dress is simply amazing!
BEAUTIFUL! This truly is just as beautiful as in the photos. The craftsmanship is lovely and very comfortable. The fabric is wonderful quality and the design is perfect. I couldn't be happier! I feared the apron would be heavy and drag me down over the dress. Not true! Both pieces are great!

I did the custom order option of the Ingrid the Hearthkeeper dress. 1 - cause i'm a curvy full figured gal that falls into multiple sizes 2 - my brother & i love going to renaissance fairs & representing our different heritages and we like to match our costumes. I emailed and asked if i could get this in black and red fabrics, got a super friendly response telling me that it wouldn't be a problem. I sent in with my measurements. This dress fit amazing! Quality is outstanding, linen fabric is what i'd call a lighter/medium weight. Not see through or super thick and heavy. Will be perfect for AZ ren fairs. The tunic would also make a great dress without the apron, if i ever wanted to change the look up. I'm so happy i found Armstreet. My brother got Bjorn woodsman tunic & linen viking pants in blacks & reds. He's 6'4" so it was a custom order. Excellent quality on those items as well. He couldn't believe how comfy the pants are and that they went the extra mile with gussets in the arm pits for ease of movement.

The fibulas should be attached to the shoulder straps, you should first tie the straps to the special loops and then just fasten the fibulas to the straps. You don`t need to use them to attack the straps.

Absolutely love this combo! Fabric is wonderful, they are really not too heavy when worn together. I got the blue dress and the green apron. My only complaint is that the green appears a bright kelly green in photos but is much darker in reality.

My fiancé and I are having a Viking inspired wedding next summer. Although we are going for as authentic as we can, we would like a modern twist to it as well. We will be doing a handfasting, have Viking Horns, Roasting a Pig, etc.... My question is really about a wedding dress. I am looking for something that is a little more dressed up/fancier than the traditional linen dress. I do like Costume “Ingrid the Hearthkeeper” but I am curious to know if you have anything else that would work for a more flattering look? Do you guys do any custom work at all? And possibly something that will not be too hot as it will be in the middle of June.

The chemise the model is wearing is slightly different from “Eydis the Springdancer”, it's not listed on the website yet. The chemise "Eydis the Springdancer" will fit this set very good too, as the difference is imperceptible.

Well now I know what I'll be spending my paychecks on, but I've never been so excited at the prospect of not having money.
In my experience linen wrinkles badly and needs to be ironed at the dry cleaners. Is this linen like that? If so what about making it in cotton that does not wrinkle badly? I so love the outfit; however do not like to iron
