Sometimes from a debt he didn’t pay at the gambling den, occasionally it’s from a surprise attack, expertly engineered by whichever army he was paid to fight against. Some days, it’s as simple as just running from a hungry bear. Regardless of what he is running from, a man may find himself without belongings, lost in the middle of the wilderness, not a coin to his name. Olegg has many dubious pieces of life advice to give, but if you’re going to listen to anything, remember this: when you gain your first coin, find yourself one good pair of pants, and don’t let them go. And once you find those pants, no matter what you’re running from, never forget your pants!
Forget about any other pants you own, because this pair of baggy Rus pants will quickly become your favorite. They are the same pattern as our best-selling viking pants with one major change: the fabric! We have recreated them in a simply gorgeous herringbone weave wool blend, which is both historically used in viking clothing and visually stunning. These pants will add instant texture to your kit, drawing the eye and making you look both fancy and tough at the same time. The wool will weather beautifully, and you’ll no doubt find yourself going back to these pants time and time again when choosing your outfit. These pants are also super comfortable and very easy to move and fight in - just ask Olegg, he managed to outrun a bear in them, after all!
These pants are based on historical designs and use quite a lot of fabric. They do up around your waist with a twine drawstring, and drape down to just below your knees where they are gathered into a narrower portion. Traditionally, a viking may have wrapped the bottom half of their leg in winningas (or leg wraps), which they would secure tightly with hooks, pins, or by just tying them. Alternately, they may have chosen to wear high boots cover this portion of the pants. There are many solutions and we are sure that you will find a fantastic way to wear this pants and add your own little bit of creativity!

the material is heavy and warm, the fit is perfect. it sits snug on the calves and flows around the waist. perfect fighting ware. Armstreet always astounds me with the quality of their clothing and this is no exception. i love it
Size information is a bit inaccurate for me, almost too big thanks to the generous lacing, luckily it can be tied.
When will the Russ pants be available again? It's already September and they take weeks to arrive, months if custom ordered. It's very cold during Vermont winters, and I really want to order some of these for my husband. Please bring them back.

The first thing I noticed was that the fabric is different from the listing. It's a lot nicer but you should probably check before ordering if it's important. The second thing I noticed was the details of the sewing. I would have skipped a lot of steps if I was to have made them myself. I really love this attention to details, great work. Even the string has been braided and isn't just a piece of twine. I have bought a pair of winnegas (leg wraps) to keep the lower part from dropping down when I am not wearing tall boots but a piece of leather string works too. As an aside, I dont play roleplay. I wear them as a fashion item and get lots of compliments :-)

Absolutely excellent Rus pants, Beyond comfortable and actually quite warm for a fabric quite similar in thickness to jeans, good for that Minnesota cold. Accidentally ordered the wrong size, my own fault, and had some of the best customer service I've ever experienced,. Considering time zones, very fast response and they had the new pair out the moment they got the return tracking data. Definitely buying another pair soon.
Great Russ pants. Wish they did not have the lower portion of the leg. A bit tight on my calves.
I’m a female size S and use these in size S. Quite spacious and baggy on top, calf is quite narrow. I have tiny legs so no problem, I ended up cutting the legs off anyways to make them more suited to my use. Nice wool quality, but I have already managed to get a few holes in them - and I haven’t worn them that many times.

They are made of wool so they are suitable for cool weather.

Hello, I'm a tall guy (6'4) and i usually wear about a 36/34 in pants. I noticed this item doesn't have the option for custom sizes. On the sizing chart it looked like a large or XL would fit width wise but maybe not length wise. Is there any way I could order a pair at a 34 length or is cuatomization not available for this item?
