Articulated spring steel arm harness
“Dark Wolf” Arm Harness
Articulated spring steel arm harness
The “Dark Wolf” collection is a new kind of armor for us: lightweight, maneuverable, but still designed specifically for combat and just as strong and protective as comparable heavier armor. It will make you feel powerful and unstoppable, and leave your enemies in awe! If you’re going to conquer and win fights, you might as well look amazing while doing it.
Some aspects of this collection are quite historical, where others are more a work of fantasy. It’s easy to see elements of XV century armor running throughout the articulated joints that make it easier to move in, and the fitted nature of it. Overall, we wanted to make something similar to our “Dark Star” collection but more optimized to male proportions, because we had so many requests!
This articulated arm harness comes completely riveted together, meaning that the bracers, cop, and rerebrace cannot be separated. The bracer portion of the arm harness is full-wrap with a hinge on one side and a strap to hold it closed on the other, so you’ll have very good protection of your forearms. From there is leads up to some beautifully pointed lames and into the solid elbow cop. The fans on the side of the cops are quite generous, protecting your inner arm well. From there, there are two additional lames to aid with movement and rerebrace. The arms can be pointed to your gambeson or arming garment at the top, and have straps and buckles to help you get a good fit.
One of the downsides of armor is that it’s heavy and difficult to move in. To try and fix this problem we’ve used spring steel to construct this armor, which is stronger than regular steel and therefore can be made a bit thinner. The end result is much lighter armor that’s still providing you with the same amount of protection as your old, heavy set! Most of this arm harness is 1.2mm thick steel, with the smaller articulated lames 1mm.
By default, this armor is blackened with silver lames to accent it. If you’re looking for something a bit different, check out the materials section for plain blackened version, mirror-polish, gold colour accents, and other combinations.

IMPORTANT: To fit correctly and prevent injury, a suit of armour must be accurately built to the measurements of the person wearing it. PLEASE take all measurements over either the gambeson or under-padding you are planning to wear with this armour. The sole exception is for persons buying armour and padding together, ArmStreet will then make the proper size adjustments for the armour based on the measurements provided for the padding.
Medieval Martial Arts are, by their very nature, dangerous and ArmStreet is not responsible for any injuries sustained by persons wearing their armour during the course of such activities. We cannot stress enough the importance of proper training, armour, weapons and knowledgeable supervision during these activities. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the wearer and their opponent for the safety of the participants.
