This is classic early medieval tophelm. Interesting and very authentically looking early helmet. Basically comes in 2mm (14 ga) stainless steel.

This is a very well made helmet the design is just what I was looking for, I also got this made in stainless steel and with a small cross cut into the metal on the bottom left side and a chin strap, I give the highest marks for construction and my compliments to the armorer.

Should I add extra head size for the wearing of a coif underneath the helm?
Dear Mike, this helmet comes with the padding by default (you may check it on the last picture of the listing). However, if you are planning to wear it without padding but with your own mail coif, then send us your measurements taken over the coif and leave a request to make the helmet without padding.
Would it be possible to have this helmet made in mild steel as opposed to stainless?
Yes, we can make it in mild steel.
Does this come with the chin strap and liner? Also should I measure under or over the padded coif and mail?
Yes, it comes with padding and chin strap. If you are planning on wearing it over the coif and maille, please send us your measurements taken over the the coif and maille.
I'm looking to buy this helm I'm just wondering if the eye slits can be made smaller, also I have a weird head size would I be able to add in the comments, multiple dimensions of my head as in like height of forehead, circumference around the nose?
The eye slits can be made smaller, please let us know the dimensions you need and we'll confirm it with the amrourer. By default we make the eye slits size considering SCA standards.
You can add additional measurements in the comments and you can also send some photos of your measurements to this email and we`ll consider all the info while manufacturing.
could this helmet be made useing the same etching used on the paladin knight armor?
This helmet cannot be made with the Paladin-style etching, sorry.
