Female Spring Steel and Brass Armor
“She’s strong like the break of dawn, pulling you into her life and leaving you in her afterglow.”
Our “Morning Star” collection is a sleek new set of armor optimized for the female figure. We’ve taken into account the curves of the body to create something that looks utterly amazing without sacrificing practicality or comfort. Light and easy to move in, it’s designed to make the wearer feel armored but not encumbered and aims to empower and protect. The set features shiny silver steel as well as brassed accents.
The silhouette of this cuirass is borrowed from the XV century, when breastplates began to be more fitted and articulated. As blacksmithing skill and technology evolved and wealth increased, individuals with larger budgets began to seek more closely fitted armor that moved with them.
The main chest piece is one solid breastplate, which is very lightly curved to allow room for your bust. From there, lames are connected down throughout the waist, articulated in a way that makes this whole piece very flexible for something offering so much protection. At the hips are leather buckles allowing you to attach the tassets, which sit down over the top of your legs. Everything is held together with rivets and leather to ensure it remains strongly attached while still having room to move with you. The backplate is similarly constructed, so when worn this piece offers you a well-armored torso and back.
Every part of this piece is made from 1.2mm spring steel. This is an amazing material that is significantly stronger and more difficult to warp than mild steel, which means we can construct armor from thinner pieces and make it even lighter for you!
This cuirass is full of beautiful details. The most obvious is the brass-plated accents – including the tassets and two of the middle lames of the cuirass. These add contrast to the piece but can be replaced with polished steel to match the rest of the breastplate instead or blackened steel if gold isn’t your style. Strong white leather is used for all of the straps, which have been attached to the breastplate with solid brass rivets as well as washers at the back. The buckles are all wonderfully hand-cast and made of brass, as well as the hooks at the top of the breastplate. To prevent the steel from rubbing directly on your skin we’ve lined the breastplate in white leather, which frames the steel and looks great as well.
If this set is a bit shiny for you and you’d prefer something a bit darker, we’d recommend checking out our Dark Star Collection.

Please contact us if you have any additional questions or if you want to add more tinted elements to your cuirass for some extra – any detail can be made either in polished, in brassed or in blackened spring steel.
IMPORTANT: To fit correctly and prevent injury, a suit of armour must be accurately built to the measurements of the person wearing it. PLEASE take all measurements over either the gambeson or under-padding you are planning to wear with this armour. The sole exception is for persons buying armour and padding together, ArmStreet will then make the proper size adjustments for the armour based on the measurements provided for the padding.
