Medieval Pauldrons “Black Knight”
Shoulder spaulders with swordbreakers
Brutal and eye-catching, these are the true Black Knight’s pauldrons! Their fantastical nature endowed them with vertical plates, that are to prevent weapons from slipping to the neck when striking the shoulder. The swordbreakers are attached to the main cup by means of scalloped edges and rivets. They can be removed upon request to stick to historical accuracy.
The overlapping lames securely cover the upper arm. Above the main cup, there is one, and below - four movable plates attached with riveted genuine leather straps to keep flexibility at the best level possible. Floating lames are perfect for swordcraft as they distribute across the surface and stack in, echoing your movements, without constraining them. Longitude stiffening rib goes along the main cup and down all the segments. The axillary cavities are covered with fancy besagews, resembling gothic style armour with their ribs and pointed shape.
Attach them and adjust the fit with buckled straps riveted to the lower plate, or use metal loops on the upper plates of the pauldrons to attach them to the matching gorget. You can also opt for 2-in-1 pauldrons and gorget set.
