“Morning Star” Greaves

Shin protection made from spring steel

You’re going to fall in love with this new armor collection, and never want to take it off! Our “Morning Star” set features shiny silver with brass accents and is constructed from lightweight steel to make it easier to move in than any armor you’ve worn before. Specifically made to fit the female body, it is flexible and designed to move with you.

The greaves for this collection are inspired by XV century armor, and can be worn on their own if you’re only looking for shin protection, or can be combined with the whole leg harness for complete leg coverage. They are anatomically shaped, which means they hug your shin very well and have been shaped to better fit the curve of your leg. They also extend down over your foot to protect your ankles. Pins at the top of the greave allow them to be connected to the full leg harness.

Spring steel is the main material used in this piece of armor. Spring is much stronger than mild steel and very difficult to dent, which means that we can make our armor thinner without having to sacrifice its much-needed protection. The end result is something that’s still safe to use, but much lighter than a similar piece made from mild steel or stainless steel.

These greaves have been made from the finest materials we could find, including beautiful white leather (which we have used for the straps but have also used to frame around the steel), solid brass rivets, and 1.2mm spring steel.

IMPORTANT: To fit correctly and prevent injury, a suit of armour must be accurately built to the measurements of the person wearing it. PLEASE take all measurements over either the gambeson or under-padding you are planning to wear with this armour. The sole exception is for persons buying armour and padding together, ArmStreet will then make the proper size adjustments for the armour based on the measurements provided for the padding.
