Viking Medieval Costume “Daughter of Fjords”
X-XI centuries women's tunic and gown
During two centuries European peoples prayers were: “God, save us from famine, disease and Viking’s sword!”. Small, but aggressive and good armored parties of Vikings were horror of weak Europe. Vikings were last Norman barbarians and piracy and pillage were their lifestyle. Also they were first and very successful European ocean-navigators.
What do you know about wifes, mothers and daughters of those cruel warriors? In contrast to women of civilized Europe, they wasn’t nor toys nor prizes for men. They were real hearth keepers and partners of their warlike men. During 3 years we even don’t try to work with Vikings costume, thinking that this theme is too popular and too well-known. But after all we were charmed too and decided to realize our own vision of Viking’s costume.
This costume is made of natural fabric, great ethnic trim was used as well as many small authentic elements: wooden buttons, unbleached linen straps and great small clasps.
Please note, that fibulas (clasps) are not included.

hi i wanting to purchase this gown set however i also after arm armour, could you tell me what would go with this? would Viking Leather Bracers with Brass Accents would match with it?

Is the Viking costume machine washable? Liz
Yes, it's machine washable. Use 40°C (104°F) water for wash in gentle/delicate mode. To prevent tarnish an alkaline solution or color safe laundry detergent should be be used. Extraction (spinning) in gentle/delicate mode to simplify the ironing. Please don't use hot drying and do not pre-soak.
Is it possible to get only the gown? and if i do want the tunic, can it be made in the colour yellow?

The tunic can be made in many color combinations, but the gown comes in white-red color by default (like in the picture).
