The “Autumn princess” dress is a fantasy clothing inspired by medieval princess dresses from miniatures of XIII century. Back in those days draperies had just given way to tailored gowns, which were made to fit more tightly to the skin (often with use of lacing) and gave more prominence to the curves of the figure. Their simple but gracious beauty induced the creation of this fantasy princess dress.
Silhouette, dress elements & fabric details
Wide scoop neckline of the dress looks exquisite, yet not revealing, while the back lacing ensures that the garment fits snugly around the waist and makes size adjustments simple. Sleeves, which are also laced up and close-fitting, end with flared cuffs that reach the knuckles. The wide skirt, made by adding triangular godets to increase the hem, grants you a desired freedom of movement (because you never know with dragons).
Simple elegance of the linen cloth is balanced with its deep color and enriched with an ornamental trim on the neck, hemline and cuffs. This princess dress is suited for everyday wear for a noble lady, but as it is not overburdened with decorous elements, it emphasizes, instead of suppressing, your natural beauty. The dress is available in several color schemes. If you choose the black color for the fabric, please do not forget to specify the color of the trim in comments to the order.
The dress is made to be floor-length, otherwise you can specify your preferred length in comments to the order (when ordering custom size dress only, fixed size dresses are floor-length by default).
Please note, the dress of size 6, 8, 10, 12 has the side bust darts for better shaping. Also, if the difference between your bust and waist circumferences exceeds 9 13/16 in (25 cm), the dress won't fit tightly.

Hello, we can make it in yellow but we have only green, red and blue trim which will look contrasting with yellow linen.
I was looking for a dress to wear to a Renaissance festival and this is the dress I fell in love with. It was Viking themed so I added a few things to the dress. I asked for the dress to be rushed so that I would receive the dress in time for the event. Armstreet immediately responded and sent the dress out to me so that I would receive it in time. I was so excited when it arrived, the dress is absolutely beautiful, the quality is outstanding and the details are exquisite. I will definitely buy more from this company. The only thing I wish I would have done is order it in a smaller size. It was my fault because in the description it says that it runs large and they have a size chart to go by. I am 5'8 and I weigh 150 lbs, I normally wear a size 10. I ordered it in a size 8 because I was to scared to order it in a size 6 just in case it was to small and I wouldn't be able to wear it to the event I was going to. The size 8 was to large even after I tightened up the lacing as much as I could. I added a few hooks to the sides of the dress to make it fit better. It would have been absolutely perfect if it was in a size 6. I am overall extremely happy with the company and the gorgeous dress.
I bought a custom fit over a year ago, it has been wonderful! I've worn it several times, both for fantasy events and normal occasions. It is comfortable, beautiful, and never fails to get sincere compliments, even at the "normal" events. Can layer underneath for warmth if necessary. The dress is lovely. It was a Yule gift for my wife and she wore it Christmas day at our family dinner. I bought it by size (not custom made) and with the laces in the back it fit perfectly. Very pleased with the product and the service. Slava Ukraine!
My dress finally arrived, and I must say it is absolutely stunning. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb. I'm really looking forward to wearing it, and while I am so glad I ordered it, I do have words of wisdom for future buyers: unless the event you want to wear it to is at least 4 months or more in the future, ASK TO RUSH IT! The typical shipping time is approximately 23-28 days right now (I think it was 21-27 days when I ordered), but it took 49 days to arrive from the day I ordered it. It arrived 1 week after the medieval fair that I went to. So I'm really gutted I didn't get to wear the dress this year for the event I bought it for, but I'll at least have it for the future. So please learn from my mistake.
I ordered the black with limited edition Halloween trim and it's far exceeded my high expectations! The trim is beautiful and colorful and the linen is comfortable, substantial, smooth, and high quality. The seams are smooth and the construction is ingenious (the hem and collar and sleeve facings are encased in the trim and hidden). The fit is perfect--it sits nicely, is easy to move in, and adjustable enough to accommodate additional layers in the winter. I love it and I'm definately going to order more.

This is a fantastic and well-made garment. It’s lightweight and comfortable, and the extra volume from the gussets make for a very satisfying twirl. It looks great layered under corsets and armor, and the lace up sleeve detail is so perfect and understated.
Love this dress! I have a Red and Blue version of this. The Red is a true red that makes me feel like a true villain. The Blue is deep but not dark and has a very flowy feel. If you want to feel powerful - buy this dress!
Love love love this dress! The corset-like ties at the back make it so easy to adjust after a large lunch, which I always appreciate, and even with long sleeves it was comfortable for December in Australia! For you Northern Hemisphere people, that's the first month of summer down here, and it's usually HOT! Not this year though, and this dress was perfect for my work xmas party, I received so many compliments and just felt amazing ^_^

The ladies in my family loved the red one I got so much that they all wanted one! We discovered we could custom order colours and trim, so each of us picked a few favourites. They fit beautifully, the lengths are perfect, and now the colours are exactly what we wanted! They came just in time for an event we had planned. I swapped out the laces on the arms for an elastic laces, so they don't get in the way of the fire and for ease of dressing - a barely noticeable swap for a better time wearing them. For garden work, enchantments, camping, dress up and just play, we have enjoyed our dresses!

Can't say much, I just really love this dress and the trim! I got it in red, since it is my favorite color. It's comfortable to wear and it feels really natural, not too tight or anything that would make it feel 'costume-ish' Also: Spinning approved, haha!
I purchased this dress for a multi-day larp event I am going to next year, and it would serve perfectly for my character's "fancy" dress. The linen is incredibly light and comfortable and the green is beautiful. I am 5"5 with a 32 bust and size 0 fits perfectly. I find that I always want to wear it around the house... going to be purchasing it in the red now.
Autumn Princess was the first dress I ever purchased from Armstreet. Never have I felt more beautiful or magical than the day I finally got to put it on! I've had my green Autumn Princess dress for 6 years now and I'm still VERY happy with it! I wear it a lot and the quality is premium! I had seen pictures of this online for several years, mostly from knockoff sites, and have been in love with this dress for years. I got my blue dress from the closeouts and the flaws are barely discernible, which says a lot about armstreet’s quality control. I need to hem it since I ordered it too big but can’t wait to wear it for Halloween and renaissance festivals in the future
I ordered this dress in green and it is beautiful. The linen is light and suitable for hot weather. The dress falls beautifully. The string allows for some variance in weight. I wear it regularly for medieval fairs and get great feedback.
This was my first dress I bought from armstreet and I still love it. Love the color (got the green). It really makes me feel like a princess. The only negative thing is it shrunk a little when washed even when I washed on delicate but it’s linen so I should have expected it. Either way it’s still beautiful and makes me feel like a princess :)
Absolutely loved this dress, ordered a while ago in green and unfortunately got wrong size (I live in the UK and misunderstood US sizing) and it was way too big which is a shame, it was very noticeable it was too big for me, however, the material seemed genuine and good quality unlike some other garments of similar look you can find in other online stores. It did seem like it would flatter my figure a lot had it been the right size, that one is on me. Armstreet is worth the money! Actually did a little experiment and ordered one from "Wish" that had the same picture - such a bad knockoff! "Wish" one had a laughable quality and didn't even want to stick together properly. Armstreet dress is such lovely quality and can't wait to buy another dress from you! And this time I'll make sure to check all the sizing again! :)

I bought this dress (in blue) as a base for my Lyanna Stark cosplay, and it was absolutely perfect! I think the style is really flattering and simple, but the embroidered trim and lacing give it some flare. The lacing also gives the sizing a lot of flexibility- due to some health issues, I’ve fluctuated up and down in my dress size recently, but because of the lacing, this dress continued to fit me in a flattering way. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice-looking medieval dress without breaking the bank. I might even buy another one myself.
I have not yet gotten a chance to wear Autumn Princess out in public yet, but I am aflutter for the chance. This gown is quite dynamic with the roles which could be applied to it. My favorites are to be royal or a fae, and I feel this could be used for both. Soon, I hope to surprise my friend with a red version of it for her birthday in a few months. (I don't suppose this will be offered in salmon? Burgundy?) The sleeves arrive with ample lacing, which I trimmed to my preference later. Autumn Princess is cut in such a way that is incredibly flattering, I did not expect it to pair well with the Exiled Princess bodice, but was pleasantly surprised. I believe this is a wonderful choice for beginner Armstreet customers!
I love this dress! I Have it in Burgundy and the natural flax color. It is very versatile and has the most flattering cut. The lacing provides great shape, and can be cut to size. The length is perfect for an authentic medieval look. What I love about it is that it can be dressed up or down according to the event and your mood; it's the perfect canvas. The material is very comfortable to wear, warm when you need it and breathable for the spring/summer months.
I bought this dress a bit worried that by buying ready to wear it would be a bit too snug on me. Luckily it was just the right size (12) and I looked great for my LARP event that I wore it too. I have been on a bit of a buying spree on armstreet since then :D

I ordered the Autumn Princess in a size 0 according to the armstreet size chart (which you really need to check before ordering!) as Im usually an Aus 8-10 and 169cm and my measurements fit perfectly. The linen dress is voluminous and absolutely gorgeous, just barely touches the ground when I have boots on. The lace up sleeves are fantastic, and I can tighten them or loosen as needed. I received so many comments and had people stop me in the street on the way to the event and had people recognise my dress as Armstreet. A gorgeous dress and extremely well made, the neckline is high enough to be modest and the dress is simple but can be accessorised with belts and pouches or an apron. I absolutely love this material, its easy to move in, soft and kept me nice and cool on a warm summer day! I will be ordering from Armstreet again in the future! Please keep in mind that all products are listed in USD and NOT aud (which was a shock when I got to checkout but totally worth it) Shipping was really fast and the dress came with its own linen bag and was well packaged.
I ordered this dress in green and measured myself several times to be sure it would fit. Most of my body measured size 6 but my upper arms measured an 8. I ordered the 8 and am so glad I did because I have room in the arms to be able to fully draw my bow without fear of tearing anything. The dress can be snugged up nicely with the laces to still have a form fitting look. Nice, thick material and good stitching, I am so happy with the quality and look of the dress. Simple and elegant. I may need to split the skirt to be able to ride my horse in it but it is pretty full.

Got this dress and its beautiful! The only issue if I'm being picky is the lace just wont stay tied up with a regular shoe type bow tying. So I will have to try double knots. If you are thinking of getting it though, JUST DO IT. You will feel like a forest princess.

I took delivery of the blue Autumn Princess dress today and I adore it. The fabric is soft, is of an excellent quality and the stitching of the garment is of a very high standard. The dress also fits perfectly. I paid for express shipping and it was with me in four days so I am absolutely delighted - thank you :) Just a heads-up about taxation for anyone ordering in the UK. The carrier required me to pay a supplement on delivery, which I hadn't anticipated but I would still recommend this site to friends for their special occasions and adventures.
Ordered this dress as my wedding dress and it is wonderful! It has A LOT of fabric, heavy, but not stiff, hangs nicely, good weight. Absolutely use the size chart, don't go by your regular US sizes. I wear a US size 8, but ordered a 4 after using the chart and it is big and will need altering. The one in the picture is either a size 2 or a 0. But, better big than small. It is just like what you see in the picture, same fabric, same color, same trim. The dress is very well made, the stitches are very neat, no loose threads. I should have gone with a smaller size, but didn't think a 2 in anything would ever fit! I'm 5'4" and it is long on me. The length in the back is very nice, but will have to hem up the front so I don't trip over it. Despite the sizing, I am very happy with it. Shipped in the time expected.

Hi Natalie, technically we can make it in olive green linen. However, this particular fabric is not suitable for this pattern. The dress won't fit and look the same as shown on the pictures, if we proceed with olive green linen. It is not solf enough for this dress design, unfortunately.

Hello, I've been searching for a medieval dress for my 50th birthday this June and came across your Autumn Princess dress which I love the look of! I've been wanting a green dress and being made of linen it will mean i won't overheat in synthetics. I have some queries and as I have a chronic illness, which is neurological and causes fatigue, I can become overwhelmed when there's a lot of information to decipher. So if you can assist me I'd appreciate it. I am just shy of 6ft in height with a long body and arms and depending on the cut am a UK sized 10 to 12. So I'm not sure what size I would select on your website as I understand they are US sizes. Or would I need to provide detailed measurements? As gold is the colour for 50, I'd like to add gold in the detail, such as gold coloured lacing instead of black. Is this something you can do? I'd also like to have a gold detailed, potentially fabric girdle to sit around the hips and down the front. Could this me made too? Many thanks. Sarah

I am a size 0 on my chest, but I fit size 2 everywhere else in the measurements, I'm only off by an inch, this will not make a big difference if I bought a pre-made over a custom sized dress will it?

The sleeve length in size 6 is 66 cm or 26 in (from the shoulder seam to the sleeve hem).

Well, it should be okay, flax linen we use has density 1.30 - 1.35 g/cm³ approximately, it feels cool to wear in the heat. Linen is a perfect choice for summer, it's a true shield from the heat! :)

Generally, the dress can be worn with no chemise, the linen fabric is thick enough, the model on the picture doesn't wear a chemise underneath.
We would recommend wearing the dress over the Classic Medieval chemise, it's simple but very comfortable, made of thin natural linen flax.

Hi there, this dress is absolutely beautiful, and perfect for the character I am creating. Only thing is, she's quite capable of defending herself and is an accomplished swordswoman. Would this dress be able to be used in a sword fighting scene without ripping? Also, is the circlet the model wearing still available, or was it created out of a gold cord? Thanks in advance!
This dress provides full freedom of movement, also you can just loosen the laces on the back and on the sleeves when performing the sword fighting. We always add some room for freedom of movement, but please note that linen fabric do not stretch, since there are no synthetic fibers.
The circlet shown in the pictures is not available for the order, but you can find many other circlets here.

Please remove all laces before washing. Use 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) water for wash in gentle/delicate mode. To prevent tarnish an alkaline solution or color safe laundry detergent should be be used. Extraction (spinning) in gentle/delicate mode to simplify the ironing. Please don't use hot drying and do not pre-soak linen clothes.

I am torn between the Autumn Princess in a Dark Blue Flax or the Chess Queen in a Dark Blue Flax. What is the main difference between the two in regards to the skirt and the fit? The main differences are the lacing, sleeves and trim. Skirts are the same (4.5-5 meters along bottom, depending on size). Also "Autumn Princess" dress has a little deeper neckline.

"Autumn Princess" dress has two additional gussets, the skirt is 4.5 - 5 meters wide at the bottom (15' - 16'5", depending on your measurements), basically comes with wide trim, has trim on the neckline, sleeves and hem.
"Sunshine Janet" dress has no additional gores, the skirt is 3 meters wide (9'10"), basically comes with narrow trim, no trim on the neckline.

Linen is softer, lighter, and more flowing than cotton, but it crumples easily. Cotton is thicker and heavier, but keeps the shape better.
